2021 has 2.6% of Lafayette County residents unemployed

Lafayette County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 418 people out of the 32,752 living in Lafayette County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Lafayette County has decreased compared to the 2.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Lafayette County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Of the 15,636 people who had a job during that time, 31 were employed in the Armed Forces and 15,605 belonged to the civilian labor force.
