BURN BAN FOR CITY OF CLINTON LIFTED...
The city-wide burn ban for Clinton issued on September 26, 2022 has officially been lifted. A sufficient amount of moisture received to date and projected this week has improved fire conditions.
While the burn ban has been lifted, we still would like to remind everyone that fire conditions during the fall months can become hazardous quickly. Excessive leaf litter and drying dead surface fuels ignite easily and spread fire quickly.
The city of Clinton has burn ordinances in place that restrict the types of items burned within the city limits. A burn permit MUST BE purchased prior to conducting ANY outdoor burning in Clinton. To purchase a permit and have your burn site approved, contact fire headquarters at (660) 885-2560. The following infographic provides details on conducting an outdoor burn in Clinton.
