Tonight the Lexington Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the driver fled.
Our deputies took over the pursuit with the assistance of Richmond P.D.
The pursuit ended in Clay County when their deputies successfully deployed spike strips and deflated all four tires.
The driver and passenger both had warrants out of Independence, Kansas City, and possible stolen items in the vehicle.
The driver had a suspended license as well. Both parties were taken into custody without incident.
