Last night Deputy Dredge noticed a vehicle traveling 140 miles per hour northbound on Interstate 35 at the Holt exit. The vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit took them to Cameron. The suspect then got back on I-35 and drove southbound to Liberty, where the vehicle was brought to a stop after hitting spikes which were deployed by the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
The driver, who was identified as Zane Shaddox, 24,, of Kansas City, was taken into custody and has been charged with DWI, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of a firearm, carless and imprudent driving, and speeding. His bond is set at $150,000 cash only.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
