Good information below. Starting next month! Most people are unaware of this program and to fund it our phone bills will go up approximately $0.18 per month. I am happy to see the federal government and the state take mental health more seriously and increase options for those in crisis. What I don't like is how underfunded we are with mental health and drug recovery programs. We also should be combining the two and very few programs exist that do this. People fight guns laws and spend millions to lobby these bills. If we used that money to fund more programs, mental health beds, and psychiatrist/psychologist/therapist would work night shifts we could make an immediate and huge impact on suicide, crime, and violence. We have some good people in Ray County that are working to bring more services to our area. It's my intention that we can show others around us how small places can do big things.
